Faith is knowing that I can listen to the call of my soul, follow its maps without losing myself or letting go of all that I love. It is recognizing that I have reserves of strength and courage to carry me through the depths of my fear into clarity and light. It is remembering the friends of my spirit, upon whom I call when I feel I have lost my way. It is asking in silence for guidance, then listening, watching.
Faith is looking back on all of the times when I stepped forth without assurances, without guarantees, without safety gear, and still came out whole— not just whole, wiser, substantial. Faith is knowing that I have all that I need for this journey, that I will see when I need to see, know what I need to know, learn what must be learned to feed my soul.
Faith is answering the summons of my soul’s call, without knowing the destination, aware that there are no certainties for me… except this one, that I must go in order to be whole.
