Reflections From My True Self

Remembering Who I Really Am

False Humility

“I am so grateful that there are people like you, who are vehicles for this Divine energy, so that I am empowered to do my own Work,” one of my clients told me yesterday. And, as I heard her, I was suddenly struck with the realization that I have lost my humility. The humility that always caused me to remind myself of these words, that I am but a vehicle, like any other, without intrinsic worth.

That is false humility. If I detract my worth as the vehicle, I am detracting my responsibility to show up as a vehicle, to allow the luminous flow of lovepeacejoy to pass through me and allow it to fuel the same flow through others. I am detracting from the sacred nature of my Work in the world.

No, I am a vehicle, but this flow comes through me, and I must be present, I must allow it, I must choose to walk my path for this energy to come into the world in this form, this way, to these beings with whom I share life.
